A 30-year-old man from Souther Carolina, USA, Matthew Brendan Warner, has been arrested and charged to court for raping his 19-day-old baby girl, after which he allegedly dumped her body in an abandoned pickup, the NBC4 News reports.
The body of the infant was found in the cab of a pickup truck where the father dumped her.
Prosecutors
say Warner showed no emotion during a court hearing where he was
charged with one count each of 'murder, assault on a child causing
death, torture, oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10
years or younger and aggravated sexual assault of a child.'
Police
say Warner and his wife reported that their infant daughter, Ellorah
Rose Warner, had disappeared from their home in Newhall but about 12
hours later, he was arrested him after he led them to her body inside a
parked pickup truck.
Though his relatives claim
Warner adored his daughter and could not commit such atrocities against
her, the coroner's report has been kept sealed while he is being
prosecuted for the heinous crimes and could face a lifetime in jail if
found guilty.
The Judge, David Walgren increased Warner bail to more than $2 million while his arraignment was set for 18 February, 2015.
